Tom O’Brien serves as Executive Chairman of the Board for Andson Biotech. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of Axion Biosystems which was acquired by Summa Equity in 2021. Prior to that, Tom was a senior executive at Philips Medical Systems, after the sale of Intermagnetics General Corporation, where he held the role of Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and President, Invivo Medical Devices. He currently serves on Axion’s Board of Directors helping the team explore global growth opportunities related to functional assays supporting the cell and gene therapy, and neuroscience markets. He is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of BioCircuit Technologies, a company that is developing a nerve repair platform. Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree with highest honors in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
